Homegrown: Shatter's Launch Party

Lasers and smoke for Sidhe's latest PSN title.

San Francisco Bathhouse on Cuba Street may not be where you’d expect to be playing the latest PlayStation Network games on a big screen. But for local Wellington developers Sidhe, the place was rocking to the sights and sounds of Shatter – their latest downloadable title.

We were lucky enough to attend the Shatter launch party - and got to do all those important things like mingling with the developers, drink from the never-ending bar tab, and see the game played through in it's entirety with the soundtrack performed live by Module.

The game being played through...

...with a live perfomance from Module.

We've managed to wrangle together some photos of the event (thanks to Rick McQuinlan of mczany.co.nz). We've also got the full video interviews as seen on Nightline with Mario Wynands, Managing Director of Sidhe, and our very own esteemed leader, Aaron Scott.

Mingling ensues.

Full interview with Mario Wynands as seen on Nightline.

And the full interview with Aaron Scott, our very own Site Manager here!

Check out the full Nightline Story here.

The stories I could tell ya... A family in a Mexican theme park in a place called Xel Ha thought I was the man in question and wanted photos of me for 10 mins. I'm just glad he's upgraded to Jenny McCarthy gives me a bit of cred with the boys now. ;-)

Hahaha nice! On the subject of look-alikes. If Mario Wynands grew a thick slug on his upper lip, he would look quite similar to a rather famous plumber who has the same name, would he not?
