What are you most looking forward to?
Another year over and a new one's just begun. That's all fine and dandy, of course, but what about the games, man? What games are coming out this year? What are we most looking forward to?
We posed exactly that question over on our facebook page at the end of the year, and - to be frank - we were surprised by some of the results. There are obvious inclusions, surprise inclusions, and even some surprise omissions.
So how did it all break down? Let's take a look, starting in reverse order...
Ninth equal
Four games tied at the bottom of our ladder, and they're an interesting bunch. If the trend continues, the next CoD (look for it November 6th, is our guess) is probably going to be the most successful videogame ever - and yet it sits near the bottom of the top ten. Interesting...• Call of Duty 9

Eighth Place
Our first sports entrant on the list is EA's reboot of their 12-year-old snowboarding franchise.• SSX

Sixth Place
We might have only just heard about this next game, but the involvement of Uncharted series developer Naughty Dog and the ever-popular inclusion of Zombies already has people excited for...• The Last of Us
Fifth Place
Bungie might not be involved anymore but the recent remake of the original Halo confirms that our faith is well founded, as Microsoft's marquee franchise makes a bold play for the middle of the list...• Halo 4
Second Equal
Three games tie for second place, consuming positions 2, 3, and 4 as they do so. And what a list! It's hard to separate them...• BioShock: Infinite

First Place

pretty much All the games i'm looking forward to are on 3DS and come out pretty soon.

Suppose I'm keen for GTA V and Assassin's Creed 3... dunno...
Soul Calibur V isn't even in the list, hmm. Other than that.. Assassins Creed 3, Borderlands 2, Counterstrike and perhaps GTA V is about all that piques my interest. Not holding my breath for Halo 4 but will pick it up regardless.
Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2 are the only ones here I am really looking forward too.

wow .. not that great of a list for me personally, i mean yeah gta V...and ummm bioshock infinite...but yeah thats it for me.
This is my hit list: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Risen 2: Dark Waters, Torchlight 2, Legend of Grimrock, Thi4f, Darksiders 2, Grim Dawn.
I thought last year was awesome, but 2012 is even better.

GTA V looks like it will be another great game from Rockstar, so is a must.
Diablo 3 should be the first place one! It's going to be EPIC!

The Last of Us and Dishonored are my two most anticipated at the moment.

I'm pumped for The Last of Us! It should have been 1st place.

Yeah, after the Year of the Dragon news (http://www.arena.net/blog/dragon) I think Guild Wars 2 has to shoot up the list of most anticipated games of 2012. Personally it's been my most anticipated game every year for ages now, but now it's actually scheduled for a release!

Gotta say Coutnerstrike: Global Offensive is up there for me. The first truly cross platform shooter, its gonna be an industry changing game (again). What I'd like to see is more games supporting the Move on PS3. Kinect is making a fool of Sony ATM which is silly considering the PS Eye is capable of so much more.
I am so over COD that I'm regretting buys MW3 now. had it for a week and have spent less than an hour on it.

My most anticipated game of 2012 is not even listed here, Silent Hill Downpour plus Silent Hill HD Collection releases in the same month - Bring on March can't wait!
CS:GO and Guild Wars 2 are probably the ones I am most interested in.

GTA? GTFO. Today's gamers are clueless morons. Diablo 3 is the only game to come in 2012.
I'm looking forward to GTA V, Pokémon Black/White 2, and pretty much any upcoming 3DS game, especially Super Smash Bros.
