Buzz Junior returns for more party game madness with that big red button that just demands your attention. But how is Dino Den? Well, it just so happens that it is once again a great party game for the younger members of your family.

Although Dino Den can easily be enjoyed by the more older (and possibly drunk) members of your family, it’s a game that is firmly aimed at little kids. After all, they do love dinosaurs – I remember my parents even got me to eat my brussel sprouts and learn my times tables with the promise of dinosaur filled adventures.

Dino Den has a bit of a Flintstones vibe to it, but it definitely works well. Although dinosaurs and humans might be historically inaccurate, the theme lends itself well to such things as dinosaur figure skating discos and dinosaur bowling.

Once again, this is not a quiz game but a party game. It forsakes any dice throwing silliness that Mario Party and its ilk require and goes straight for the mini-games, determining progress by the position obtained in each round. If four players cannot be found, the computer will easily pick up the slack and provide ample competition.

The number of mini-games in the overall game can once again be set by players, ranging from short to long games. These games vary between games of luck and games of reflexes, although none of them are particularly taxing. Adults who wish to partake in the game along with their children should find themselves able to cope thanks to the nature of the game and the controller.

Whether or not the game is fun will often depend on how much emphasis one places on skill. If the players are under ten or heavily intoxicated, Buzz Junior: Dino Den will provide some good entertainment for up to four players. If you’re the kind of person who says “noob” in real life and spends hours “pwning” people in Call of Duty 4, it’s probably best to look elsewhere for your multiplayer kicks.

Ultimately, Buzz Junior: Dino Den is a great mini-game collection that is accessible to all ages. With its accessible gameplay and cute graphics and theme, it’s a winner for all ages. If a birthday is coming up, or you just simply want a good value game to appease friends and family, you can’t go wrong with Dino Den.
