AT A GLANCE

The Good: Plenty of in-game music to choose from. "New 50 Cent music, fans rejoice."
The Bad: Unfortunately, a large portion of that music is from 50 Cent.
The Ugly: Trying to enjoy a game with 50 Cent in it.

Touted as a global hip hop sensation, 50 Cent is now being given the chance to shine on a new stage, the videogame. 50 Cent: Bulletproof puts the player in the shoes of 50 Cent, and must try to survive in the midst of corruption, double-crosses and shady deals in the underworld of New York with the help of 50’s G Unit soldiers. Players will be able to use some suave moves, including more than 25 counter kill moves, evasive rolls and the ability to take cover while on the move.

Some of the hottest recording artists in the music industry will also be making their way onto the game, including G Unit’s Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, as well as Eminem and Dr. Dre who will take up the characters known as “McVicar” and “Grizz”.

We can expect 50 Cent: Bulletproof to be a game straight from the mind of 50 himself, as he has been heavily involved with the game’s creation and content, and he has collaborated on the game's mechanics and storyline with former Sopranos executive producer and Emmy award winner Terry Winter, who wrote the game's script and the screenplay for 50 Cent's forthcoming theatrical release, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

"I'm as excited about 50 Cent: Bulletproof as I am about the success of my album, The Massacre and that means a lot since music has always been my life," said 50 Cent. "The new freestyles and the addition of Eminem and Dre show that this game is on the right course to follow in the successful footsteps of my music."

"In everything I do, I play to win," said 50 Cent. "I'm out to destroy the competition and my video game is no different. It's a fantasy version of my life. I plan to shake up the video game world like I did the rap world – I'm pulling no punches with my game."

50 Cent: Bulletproof will impressively boasts more than eight hours of classic, current and exclusive music from 50 Cent and G Unit, including “Pimp Pt2”, "I'm A Rider", and "Maybe We Crazy". In addition, the game will offer a sound studio mode in which gamers can mix and match new original freestyles by 50 Cent with new beats straight from the G Unit camp. The game will also include a large handful of 50 Cent and G Unit music videos, alongside more than an hour of gripping cinematics to tie together the 50 Cent: Bulletproof atmosphere.

To be published by Vivendi Universal Games 50 Cent: Bulletproof will be shooting into stores on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox mid December, and on PSP in 2006.
