Too Human
Published Thursday 18 Dec 2008 9:12pm | Xbox 360Hi I am not very good at this review stuff or blogs but last night I got really bummed out while playing too human hence the blurb.
To start I had waited along time for the release of this game and was under the belief that the final product was going to be a masterpiece in its own right.
The question is was it a materpiece. Well honestly I cannot say it was, there were remarkable cut-scene video footage, for the first couple of hours the control layout was tricky to use mainly the right thumbstick as now and then absent mindedly I went to use it like in first person shooters to look around forgetting that it was for weilding Buldurs sword .
The movie sequence at the start showing odin as the raven observeing, then Baldur strolls into the bar and in a short moment mayhem errupts and Baldur is in combat againts the first of many cybernetic beasts, had me sold that there was some weird forces at play with this game. I played for a further two days but sadly I had to return the rental game I was bummed to the max I had the too human bug in me, I was now in mourning depressed for I had no new game to play no too human to entertain me to be my pain killer through the long nights .
Then early november one morning I saw a courier come up my drive, "you have a package from microsoft ,sign here ".
I hobbled inside as fast as my crutches could allow me ripped open the package " wha hoooooooo" I won a copy of too human I was high on disbelief, It didnt take me long to start playing again I was haveing a ball great story great A.I, exellent graphics I was leveling up fast and also dying fast but I didnt care I was truely haveing a ball.
Cybernetic beast after cybernetic beast fell to Buldurs wepons and I was reborn time and time again.
The game does challenge you to stay alive for aslong as possible. When in cyber space I gained push and lift and fire I acheived level 29 and completed half of the skill tree when I fought hel, after defeating her I was taken back to the Aesir where I went to the feasting hall and then all of a sudden after seeing Buldur who has regained his memory throw a yelling match at the rest of the gods and in a final thrust with his pure anger and outrage at what has taken place because of him he impales the table of the Aesir on the end of his sword and walks off , i was thinking cool and ......... then the credits rolled over the screen I was left speechless and rather gob smacked.
