The PlayStation Vita is less than a month away, so PlayStation and NZGamer.com thought it would be fitting to invite 15 lucky competition winners to come party with us and actually get to play with this innovative new handheld.

First we got down to PR, With Krister and Cassidy from PlayStation showcasing what this little beaute can do, including the front and rear touch input, both front and rear cameras, motion control, and all its social and connectivity features.

One of our NZGamer.com fans, Matt, won a mega prize of the Killzone 3 Helghast Edition Box set for simply having already placed his pre-order down for a PlayStation Vita kit - congratulations Matt, hope you enjoy it; let us know what you think!

We had a pretty good turnout and everyone was eager to get their hands on a PlayStation Vita for themselves.

Your wish granted! We handed out Vitas for everyone to try out, and each had a Demo of the various first-party (Sony published) release titles: WipEout 2048, MotorStorm: RC, Super Stardust Delta, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Everybody's Golf 6, and a few more.

Also a treat for our Rugby fans, Simon and Dwayne from local studio Sidhe surprised us with the latest version of Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge running on the PlayStation Vita. Unfortunately, we cannot show screenshots of the game or disclose much about it at this time, but we can say it's definitely still on its way to the handheld, we're looking forward to it guys!

Well we hope everyone really enjoyed the event as much as we did, even more we hope you enjoyed all the cool swag - including a free copy of Tekken Hybrid on PlayStation3, PlayStation T-Shirts, and other cool gear!
