NZGamer.com Launch 2015 Game of the Year Awards

NZGamer.com have today launched the 2015 Game of the Year Awards, recognising excellence in videogames across 22 categories, including the prestigious Game of the Year!

What was your favorite game? The biggest surprise? The ultimate disappointment? Vote now and have your say.

Vote in as many or few categories as you wish. If a game you think deserves to win in a specific category is not listed, please tell us in the Other box. Nominations that receive a substantial write-in vote will become part of the nominees.

"We're delighted to once again present Kiwi gamers with an opportunity to celebrate the best of the best in our industry," said NZGamer.com's managing director, Aaron Scott. "Games are created for the players, and it's important that, at the end of the day, it's the players that determine which titles earn their collected acclaim."

The nominees for Game of the Year are:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Fallout 4
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Tales from the Borderlands
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The voting phase of the awards runs from today until January the 25th, 2016, with winners to be announced shortly after.

Visit and vote the Game of the Year Awards now!

Expected no Nintendo representation as usual in these overall GOTY things but at least figured Bloodborne being on the darling Sony system would get a look in.... lol. Ouch! At least I've got the Other box for my 'obscure' tastes in gaming!

I wanted to put it in every category. Best action-adventure? Ori. Best RPG? Ori. Best racing game? Ori.

Easily the best game I've played this year and in a long time. It's a masterpiece and, to me, a system-seller.

Hahaha, yeah Ori was amazing and it along with To The Moon are the only two games that have left me feeling emotionally drained at the end. Also voted for it in every category I could.
