The Witcher 3 Wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the widely lauded open-world RPG from CD Projekt Red, has won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2015.

The award was announced towards the end of the show on Friday evening, following a number of trailers, musical performances, and other presentations. To win the coveted Game of the Year, The Witcher 3 beat out Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Super Mario Maker, and it also won Best RPG, while CD Project Red won Developer of the Year. Meanwhile, the player-voted Most Anticipated Game award was taken home by No Man's Sky.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won a number of awards, though the game's director Hideo Kojima wasn't in attendance to receive them because, according to the show's host, Geoff Keighley, Konami wouldn't let him attend.

Hmm, those choices aren't offending me. Good stuff.

I bought Her Story last week on Steam; I guess I should boot it up sometime.
