Armageddon Expo Limits Ticket Sales to Cope with Demand

Armageddon Expo is limiting ticket sales for the upcoming Auckland show to cope with expected crowding as a result of the popularity of the event.

Door sales will still be available for the Friday, Sunday, and Monday, but Saturday - typically the show's busiest day - will be pre-sale only, and the overall ticket allocation has been reduced by 10%. This comes off the back of a "monster" event in Auckland last year, and record numbers at the Wellington event this month.

“Our priority is making sure everybody has a good time, which is why we’ve taken this step to reduce congestion and make things more comfortable,” said William Geradts, founder of the Armageddon Expo. “Anybody who wants to attend on Saturday should make sure they book their tickets early so they don’t miss out."

Tickets will go on sale on August 1 (tomorrow), with different options including general admission, multiday tickets, VIP Passes, and tickets to the ‘Special Spookers’ and 20th anniversary party events.

Guest stars announced so far include Courtenay Taylor (Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Fallout 4), Mela Lee (Fallout: New Vegas, Blazblue, Final Fantasy XIV), and Chuck Huber (Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho). More details about games and gaming events present at the show will be announced later.

Armageddon Expo Auckland 2015 takes place at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane from Friday, October 23 through Monday, October 26 (Labour Weekend). Tickets go on sale on August 1.

Good they are fixing the issues that were present in Wellington. I find when I go it can be full and crowded but thats the nature of the event - be hard to have a bigger venue in auckland.
