After announcing a New Game Plus mode for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt earlier this week, developers CD Projekt Red have revealed more details, explaining how exactly it will work.
New Game Plus will have stronger enemies, and players will be able to carry over all their character's experience, items (excluding quest items, books and letters, Gwent cards, consumables, and trophies), and alchemy recipes. Anyone lower than level 30 when starting New Game Plus will be bumped up, and everyone will get a free Clearing Potion at the start, allowing you to reset your skills and try a different build.
Additionally, New Game Plus will have the same difficulty settings as the standard game, and the Walked the Path trophy/achievement - earned by completing the game on Death March difficulty - can be earned in this mode.
The New Game Plus update is the last of a series of 16 free DLC packs for The WItcher 3, with others including the likes of new quests, hairstyles, animations, and equipment. CD Projekt Red haven't said when it will be available.
