Bethesda to Host a Press Conference at E3 2015

Bethesda Softworks, best known as the publisher of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, will hold their first ever E3 press conference this year.

The conference will be held in Hollywood, California on June 14, but Bethesda revealed no other details or hints about what might be shown.

Studios under Bethesda and parent company ZeniMax Media have two games in development, that we know about. Id Software is working on a new Doom game, while Battlecry Studios are working on a free-to-play multiplayer action game called BattleCry. ZeniMax Online Studios is continuing work on The Elder Scrolls Online, which comes out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

A number of ZeniMax Media studios have recently released games, but haven't announced any new projects since. MachineGames' Wolfenstein: The New Order came out last May and was generally well received, while Shinji Mikami's Tango Gameworks released The Evil Within in October. Dishonored developer Arkane Studios had been working on Prey 2, but that was Bethesda confirmed at PAX Australia last year that it had been cancelled.

Bethesda Game Studios, meanwhile, hasn't released a new game since 2011's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which saw a Legendary Edition, complete with all add-on content, in 2013.

They may be working on it and I'll be happy if they are but finding it a little doubtful at the moment considering the 4 year gap between Morrowind and Oblivion and then the 5 year one between that and Skyrim. More likely to be something like Fallout which hasn't had a release for a while but you never know.

Well November this year is the 4th anniversary of Skyrim's release, so a 2016 ES6 release isn't out of the question and has been rumoured? But maybe they'll save that announcement for next years E3? Announcing the next Fallout AND Elder Scrolls on the same day might be too much to handle!! :-D
