Nintendo Direct Scheduled for Tomorrow Morning

Nintendo Direct Scheduled for Tomorrow Morning

Nintendo has announced the latest Nintendo Direct briefing, the publisher and platform holder's live broadcast of new information about upcoming releases.

This particular broadcast takes place from 3am on the morning of January 15, 2015 (NZDT), with a focus on autumn 2015 releases for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. There are a few Nintendo games due out in this window - Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U), Code Name S.T.E.A.M. (3DS), and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS).

While autumn 2015 releases will be the main attraction, it's not unusual for Nintendo to look further ahead during Nintendo Direct briefings. Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, and the new Legend of Zelda for Wii U are all due out this year, and could make an appearance.

As always, the stream will be available on Nintendo's official websites. Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe generally host slightly different variations of the video, due to differing release schedules for the different regions. The European one is most pertinent to New Zealand audiences, and will be available on Nintendo Australia's website.

Don't worry if you don't want to get up at 3am for the livestream - we'll bring you any news that comes out of it, as well as the full archived video when it's available.

Star Fox for Wii U is meant to get a pre-Zelda launch too, so maybe we'll finally see some footage of that.
