Free Trials for Destiny Now Available

Free Trials for Destiny Now Available

Activision have launched free trials for Destiny on all platforms, letting would-be Guardians try out the game before deciding whether or not to buy.

The trial offers a "sampling of character creation and progression, story mission content, along with cooperative and social activities." Should you decide to upgrade to the full game, any progress will be transferred, as long as you buy the full game for the same console family that you played the trial on.

For example, if you trialled the game on PlayStation 3, you would be able to transfer progress to the full version on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4, but not to Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

On Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the trial requires 40 GB of hard drive space, and is available until an unspecified end date. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 demos, meanwhile, require 6 GB of hard drive space, and will be available until January 6, 2015.

The Destiny trail can be obtained through PlayStation Network for PS3 and PS4, and Xbox Live for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

40GB for a trial on new gen? damn, thats more than the full game download isnt it?
Wonder what they limit because the games got pretty limited content anyway lol
Might just be a re-harshed beta test edition.
Are they needing more numbers? Or they starting to bleed players fast to new games?

I know I've been on destiny a lot less lately since the arrival of the holiday season of releases. Destiny is still my "go-to" for shooters at the moment though.

It' sounds like its the full game.

Wish more games did this, like reach first 10 levels on COD or something.

I can't understand the hate it's getting at the moment, I didn't expect much initially but for whatever reason I keep going back to this over and over again.
