Mortal Kombat X comes out in April next year, with those who pre-order getting day one access to an additional character, Warner Bros. Interactive announced today.
The latest installment in NetherRealm Studios' ultra-violent fighting game launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on April 16, 2015 in New Zealand, April 15 in Australia, and April 14 in other regions.
Those who pre-order the game from any retailer will get an additional character, Goro, on day one. Goro was originally a boss character in the first Mortal Kombat, before returning as a playable character in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Mortal Kombat X marks his first appearance is a playable fighter since 2006's Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
The announcement makes no mention of Goro being exclusive to pre-orders, so he will likely be available as an add-on purchase at a later date.
