Popular Games Reimagined as Little Golden Books

Popular Games Reimagined as Little Golden Books

As part of his "Storytime" series, artist Joey Spiotto has reimagined some popular videogames as Little Golden Books.

The series comprises covers for Little Golden Book-style children's books, based on films, TV shows, albums, and games. Among them are Little Cogs of War (Gears of War), The Angry Little God of War (God of War), The Last Little Survivors (The Last of Us), The Legendary Little Chief (Halo), The Little Assassin (Assassin's Creed), The Little Tomb Raider (Tomb Raider), and The Solid Little Snake (Metal Gear Solid.)

Each title is limited to 50 framed and 50 unframed prints, which cost US$75 (NZ$88.12) and US$35 (NZ$41.12), respectively. Shipping to New Zealand costs US$70.40 (NZ$82.70) for a framed print, bringing the total to US$145.40 (NZ$170.81), or US$21.20 (NZ$24.90) for an unframed print for a total of US$76.20 (NZ$89.51.)

Some of the framed prints are sold out, but in most cases, unframed ones are still available.

The series is based on Little Golden Books, a series of children's books that has been around since 1942. Little Golden Books are marked by their iconic golden spines and relatively cheap price at a few dollars each.

Would love to get a print. Unfortunately if shipping is going to cost just as much as the print then thats a deal breaker for me... :P

It *might* be cheaper shipping with YouShop? I'm not sure, but the store selling them only uses USPS' more expensive international options for security, hence the high shipping prices.
