The Legend of Zelda Monopoly On the Way

The Legend of Zelda Monopoly On the Way

A Legend of Zelda-themed Monopoly board game will release in the United States next month, created by USAopoly, who are responsible for a large number of the licensed Monopoly sets that are available.

The game puts a Zelda twist on the standard Monopoly board game, with Chance and Community Chest cards replaced by Empty Bottle and Treasure Chest cards, House and Hotels replaced by Deku Sprouts and Deku Trees, and significant locations from the Legend of Zelda series as properties on the board.

As with all licensed Monopoly sets, the Legend of Zelda version includes six themed player tokens: Bow, Hookshot, Boomerang, Slingshot, Triforce, and Hylian Shield, and currency is in the form of Rupees rather than dollars.

The game is set for release on September 15th in the United States. GameStop (who unfortunately don't ship overseas) will have an exclusive version, with an Ocarina of Time token, six item power cards "for added game play," and a Hyrule map lithograph.

It does not appear to be listed by any New Zealand retailers yet, but will likely be available locally after its American release, and from stores like Amazon that offer international shipping.

Would have been better if they made the corners in the Zelda universe, too.

As far as I know, the corners are always the standard Monopoly ones. Probably part of the licensing deal with Hasbro.

This would probably be a must for all Nintendo fans. I know a few who would love this.

The Warehouse have a pretty sweet looking old school Marvel Comics one at the moment.

There's cars and parking in Hyrule? lol At least its free though!!
Corners look strange, whether a licensing thing or not they need to change it.

Id love to see more famous video game worlds get their own monopoly.

Stink, they need to make those corners unique, it's not like we wouldn't know that Monopoly is a Hasbro product.
