Xbox 360 Version of Assassin's Creed III Comes on Two DVDs

The Xbox 360 version of Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed III will come on two disks, the developer has confirmed to NZGamer.com.

Philippe Bergeron, Mission Director on the game, stated "This time around, we're cracking at the seams. We have two disks on Xbox." The separation is made around the number of players; the singleplayer game uses one disk, while the multiplayer game requires the other.

With a capacity of 4.5-9GB, the Xbox 360's DVD media is capable of storing much less game information that the PlayStation 3's 25-50GB Blu-Ray or the Wii U's 25GB proprietary media. Phillipe did not confirm if the PC version, which will likely ship in its physical form on DVD, will also be on multiple disks.

Assassin's Creed III is releasing on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 31st; the PC version releases November 22nd, and the Wii U version launches alongside the console itself on November 30th.

Well, for me that's kinda cool. I enjoy games that come with more disks. Reminds me of the Final Fantasy Days on PS1. Plus, having more disks probably means more gameplay, so it should be well worth your money!

I think its fine when youve got one disc dedicated to this and one to that, but it can be a huge pain in the ass when it breaks the game up, yes Im looking at your Star Ocean!

more disks mean more gameplay? UMM NO! xbox STILL uses dvd (LOL!) ps3 has bluray the fact is the game cant fit on 1 dvd so xbox need 2 discs 1 for singleplayer and 1 for multiplayer ( you would know all this if you actually read the article before you comment)

Well something is filling up the first disk if they have decided to chuck multiplayer on Disk 2! OR Multiplayer has more stuff, which needs a separate disk.
