A new clothing label called Control Division has launched today on both sides of the Tasman, with apparel based more on the concept of gaming than on individual games. The label has been launched in conjunction with Mario Wynands and Tyrone McAuley, from Wellington-based Sidhe, as well as other industry veterans from Australia.
"We have been watching the space and planning the launch for quite a while", explained Control Division Chairman Richard Neal "We’ve built a culture in our brand that only comes from working with guys who know the industry."
The clothing range, a sample of which is shown below, is described as featuring "high quality fabrics, modern lines, and stylish designs by artists loyal to gaming culture".
"The explosive growth of video-game culture has created a platform to launch Control Division’s new fashion brand into worldwide markets. Control Division will provide gamers with stylish, quality clothing suitable to wear at home, down the street or to the club," Mr Neal said.
If you're keen to see the first collection, which is available in limited (fittingly described as "beta") quantities, the website for the label is up now at controldivision.com.
