Resident Evil Creator Working on New, "Pure" Survival Horror Game

Bethesda have announced a collaboration with Shinji Mikami's Tango Gameworks, codenamed "Zwei" while in development. Mikami-san, whose credits from his time at Capcom include Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney, is keen to create what he describes as a pure survival horror title.

“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear,” says Shinji Mikami, president and creative director for Tango Gameworks. “I've found my focus and once again I'm striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”

Specific detail, such as when the game might be coming out or on which platforms it will be released, was not provided as a part of this announcement.
