PlayStation Vita Launch Games Announced

Sony have announced the list of first-party games that will launch alongside the PlayStation Vita in PAL territories (including New Zealand).

The list, which doesn't include any that are published by third-parties, is as follows:

• Uncharted: Golden Abyss
• WipEout 2048
• Reality Fighters
• Little Deviants
• ModNation Racers: Road Trip
• Everybody’s Golf
• Escape Plan
• Gravity Rush
• Hustle Kings
• MotorStorm RC
• Top Darts
• Super StarDust Delta

Additionally, they added a list of games that are currently in development (which includes third parties). The biggest reveal of which was the announcement of Unit 13, from developer Zipper Interactive (MAG / SOCOM). There's also a new MotorStorm game (MotorStorm RC), that takes the franchise out a couple of zoom levels by putting you in charge of remote-controlled cars for the first time.

Otherwise, here's the announced list of in-production titles for the releasing-in-February Swiss Army Knife of portable consoles:

• Army Corps of Hell - Square Enix
• Asphalt: Injection - Ubisoft
• Disgaea 3 Return - NIS America
• Dungeon Hunter: Alliance - Ubisoft
• Dynasty Warriors Next - Tecmo Koei

• Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack - Drinkbox Studios
• The Treasures of Montezuma Blitz - Alawar Entertainment
• Touch My Katamari - Bandai Namco
• Troopies - Bloober Team
• Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom - Capcom
• Urban Trials - Tate Multimedia
• Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition - SEGA

The eagle-eyed amongst you will no doubt have noticed that Sidhe's Rugby Challenge isn't in the list, under any of its names. We understand that the title is still in development, regardless of recent layoffs at the company, however we'll be seeking confirmation of that specifically as soon as possible.

Playstation PORTable alright. I'm sure there are a few good games among them but nothing screams out for attention over the rest.

If I get it day one, I'll pick up Golden Abyss and the Modnation game probably. Real keen to try out that Resistance game on it as well, that's looking real nice, hopefully some good FPS will be out not long after launch.

A few gems but most of the titles are meh, I'll be waiting until there are at least a couple of good RPG's before I bother.

I'll wait to play Uncharted: Golden Abyss once it gets ported across to the PS3.... ;-)

Not the best launch lineup imo. Most are retreads of previous IPs and the only really compelling one I see is the uncharted game (and maybe the gravity game).

BUT just look at the number of freaking games in development. I think we can be confident that there wont be a 3DS-like game drought for the PSV.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is almost enough on its own. Almost.
