Sony have rolled out two new promotions, pushing both PSN itself and PlayStation Plus.

The first, PlayStation Network PLAY, is centered around the release of four new downloadable PSN games - Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition, The Baconing, BloodRayne: Betrayal and Renegade Ops. Each purchase entitles you to title-specific additional DLC content, while purchasing all four will net you a free copy of PayDay: The Heist. Additionally, members of Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service will get a 20% discount on each purchase. Not a member? The next deal is for you...

The second deal is a 20% discount on a year's subscription to PlayStation Plus, the paid service that gives you free monthly games, advance access to betas, and other exclusive services like cloud saves and so on. The sub will normally set you back $89.95, but until the 23rd of September, you can jump in for $71.95. You can find out more over on the PlayStation Plus page on Sony's NZ PlayStation website.

Pretty average offering I must say.
Already have PSPlus, and the extra 3 months given after the PSN outage.

I just brought Street Fighter III and loving it . . . could be keen for the year sub if they drop say another $21.95 just for recession sake (meaning Im pretty poor atm) but then again an average of around $6 a month isn't too bad either.
