Fallout: New Vegas DLC Announced

Bethesda has announced the first batch of DLC for Fallout: New Vegas via the Bethblog.

Titled Dead Money, it follows an as yet unknown protagonist' as they work alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino.'

Bethesda may have left their name out to keep the doors open for a new protagonist. Whoever the protagonist is, their back-story consists of them being the victim of a drug raw deal.

Bethesda says that in Dead Money, "your life hangs in the balance as you face new terrain, foes, and choices." Suggesting some new moral dilemmas.

Fallout New Vegas scored a healthy 9.0 in the NZGamer.com review.
Read it here.

Dead Money is in development at Obsidian Entertainment and hits Xbox 360, December 21st for 800 Microsoft Points.

Wonder how many DLC they'll pack into New Vegas.
I just finished all the FO3 DLC this week... what a grind, a fun grind though.
In no hurry to get FO:NV, will get the GOTY edition in next few years though

Like the some of the ones in FO3 its probably a timed exclusive for the 360.
Im just going to wait for the GOTY ed. anyway which im sure they'll do in a year or so, and will include all DLC even these so-called exclusive to xbox ones

Bethesda Rep John: "Like the new game guys? Great, hey I notice you have some more money, would you like to pay for the missions we left out but had prepared and disc ready when the game was finalised?"

Bethesda Hungry Bankaccount: "Nom nom nom, your money tastes like awesome, nom nom nom."

Whats with this only releasing for one platform. Ubisoft seems to favour the PS3 and now Bethesda is favouring the 360. When will the discrimination end!!

Wut?

Seriously. Next to nothing is announced. We can't make presumptions about it before there's more info. It's hardly a likely situation anyway since it seems to be a new character.

Seems rather early considering how long the Fallout games are. Then again, some people would play them religiously.

They've already said (can't remember where) that it'll be a timed exclusive deal as with 3. So its not going to be on 360 solely forever.

With vast VAST swathes of the game landscape blocked off or otherwise inaccesible, it's fairly easy to conclude that they developed, then cut back, the full game so the missing chunks could be sold later for more dosh. Hungry nomnom bank account indeed.

Agree, some pretty huge areas at the north & west of the map that will no doubt be used in these future DLC's. Couple of passes filled with rubble that i tried dynamiting to see if they'd open up. Alas, no luck..
