Last year Nintendo took out a trademark on an odd little title, "The Last Story". Now we finally know what it is - the next RPG from Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey developer MistWalker.

In his MistWalker blog, founder and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi recently announced that his team have been working with Nintendo to create their next RPG - and that it's almost finished.

Sakaguchi blogged that it will be driven by “the universal theme of human emotion” and they will be releasing more information on the title soon.

The Last Story is expected to be released for the Wii in Japan later this year.

Keep it locked on NZGamer.com for updates.

Hopefully it will be something good. Wii really doesn't have any good RPG at all.
