If you’re nearing your 30’s you will probably remember the Madballs, a short-lived toy craze in the mid-1980s about balls featuring wacky designs. Well, now they’re making a comeback via a recently announced Xbox Live Arcade title developed by indie games developer, Playbrains.
Titled Madballs in Babo: Invasion, Playbrains are tagging it a ‚Äúcasual hardcore‚ÄĚ title, and judging by the screen shots and trailers it looks to be another solid shooter for Live Arcade. In addition, players will be able to use their Xbox avatars in-game via a mode called ‚ÄúAvatar Attack‚ÄĚ.
Playbrains president, Scott Simpson comments: ‚ÄúWe wanted to give Xbox LIVE Arcade players an opportunity to really go ‚Äėhead to head‚ÄĚ
Madballs in Babo: Invasion will roll onto Xbox Live Arcade and PC later this year.
Keep it locked on NZGamer for trailers and the inevitable ball pun ‚Äď because that‚Äôs how we roll.
