Marvel Heroes Dev Shuts Down, Lays Off Entire Staff - Report

Last week it was announced that Marvel Heroes was shutting down, after Disney severed ties with the developer Gazillion. It now appears the studio has laid off its entire workforce, after comments from staff on social media, and an internal email from CEO David von Dorman leaked.

Multiple Gazillion staffers have reported that they weren’t paid severance, or recompensed for owing PTO (paid time off).

The shutdown period for Marvel Heroes has also been accelerated. It was originally slated to stay open until December, but will instead be shutting down on Friday, American time.

The management of this company was criminal. I’m ashamed to have contributed towards the game financially and feel terrible for the employee’s. The game was good- the mismanagement of the title was terrible.
