Not much is known about Motive’s upcoming title, but EA CFO Blake Jorgensen teased some details. The game will be in the action genre, and will feature a “lot of new, interesting gameplay that I don’t think anyone’s ever seen before.”
"Action is clearly the place we're missing the most, and the reason we're building Anthem and the new title that Jade Raymond's team at Motive is building in Montreal," Jorgensen shared at the UBS Global Technology conference this week (via GI.biz). "That's the largest sector in gaming. It's one we haven't spent a lot of time in because we were so focused on sports and first-person shooters. We feel like there's a huge opportunity there."
Jorgensen added that he was confident in the game’s potential to succeed, due to the 100-plus people working at Motive.
Further details about Motive’s game are unknown. The only new project EA has releasing is BioWare’s Anthem, which looks to blend action and RPG, with online elements similar to those of Destiny. The game is due out in 2018.
