Destiny 2 Gets PS4 Pro, Xbox One X Enhancements next Month

Destiny 2 Gets PS4 Pro, Xbox One X Enhancements next Month

If you’re playing Destiny 2 on the latest console variants, then you’re in for some good news. Bungie announced that visual enhancements will be coming to both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X users.

Here’s the official announcement, via Bungie’s weekly update:

On December 5, along with the launch of Curse of Osiris and Season Two, we’ll be deploying an update to Destiny 2 that will deliver stunning gameplay with high dynamic range (HDR) lighting to these new consoles. You’ll also see adaptive 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro and 4K on the Xbox One X.

Note that there won’t be visual parity. The update will make use of the Xbox One X’s stronger hardware, providing native 4K.

If you’ve waited for the PC version (and have a box that’s up to the task), then you already have access to 4K resolutions. This is in addition to field-of-view sliders, higher framerates, and other visual settings to tweak.

The 4K update hits PS4 Pro and Xbox One X on December 5, coinciding with the launch of the latest DLC; Curse of Osiris.

Dammit! They should enable cross play already so those who want to play at native 4K on XB1X don't have to ditch our buddies on PSN

Should have really been done pre-release.
I hope this hasn't taken a lot of resources away from the actual expansion, which is really important.
