Take-Two – parent company of 2K and Rockstar – is looking to the future. Not content to have one massive release in 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2, they’ve hinted that they’ll also be launching a new entry in one of 2K’s major franchises next fiscal year.
The publisher made the announcement as part of its latest earnings call.
"Looking ahead, we expect fiscal 2019 to be a record year for Net Bookings and net cash provided by operating activities led by the upcoming launches of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 and a highly anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises," Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said in a statement.
As IGN points out, that fiscal year falls between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
2K has multiple large franchises which are currently inactive, with Borderlands and BioShock to name a few.
