PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold over 20 million copies, its creator shared on Twitter today. The feat is impressive, given that the game released on Steam Early Access in March of this year.

I know a lot of you are frustrated by issues w/ the game but the team is working hard to deliver a truly great Battle Royale expierence for everyone. Bear with us, change is coming!
For further context, the game hit the 10 million mark in September – meaning it moved an additional 10 million copies in a two-month span.
The 100-player battle royale also became the most-played game on Steam in September, taking the top-spot away from Valve’s free-to-play MOBA Dota 2. According to Eurogamer (via Steam Charts), PUBG still holds the record for the most concurrent players of any game on Steam, sitting at over 2.5 million players.
PUBG is still in Early Access, but is expected to see a full launch on PC this December. An Xbox One version is also on the way, slated for release on December 12.
