Ubisoft has confirmed that players will be able to swap out Bayek’s different hair and beard appearances in Assassin’s Creed Origins. This is already supported in the game’s console versions, but it’s a leftover feature from the its debugging phase.
By pressing L2 and Y/Triangle or R2 and Y/Triangle in the gear menu, players can toggle between Bayek’s different looks; bearded with long hair, bearded with a shaved head, or other combinations.
As Eurogamer points out, this method isn’t officially supported; your selection isn’t saved when you next boot up the game, nor when spawning after death.
“The team is currently working on adding this feature on PC,” said a Ubisoft community manager on the forums. “It will be implemented with an upcoming Title Update and you'll also be able to keep your selected preferences across a play session.”
