The Weekend Chat: What to do with Visceral Games' Star Wars Assets?

Earlier this week it was announced that Visceral Games is being shut down by their parent company, Electronic Arts. Yes, the minds behind Dead Space, The Godfather, The Simpsons Game, Dante's Inferno, Battlefield: Hardline, and of course, the Untitled, narrative heavy, action/adventure Star Wars game that was being worked on by Amy Hennig, Jade Raymond, and being co-written by Todd Stashwick (who also happened to be playing the lead character)... is now dismantled.

Leading us into this weeks topic:

Now that Visceral Games has been hanged, drawn, and quartered across the Worldwide Empire of EA, what would you like to see done with the remains of Visceral's Star Wars game?

Are you looking forward to EA Vancouver picking up when VG left off to continue building some hybrid of Star Wars, Uncharted, and Assassin's Creed? Or perhaps you'd like to see them look at building a co-operative, open world Star Wars title of some kind?

Let us know what you want in the comments below!

That's a tricky one seeing that EA has executed order 66 on most of their studios.

I'm more interested in what will happen with the Dead Space IP. Seriously love that series, and was hoping for a sequel to 3. You could tell with 3 that EA was already starting to steer away from heavy single player focus then, which is such a shame, as 1 and 2 are some of the best survival horror games around.

Thats just it. What I want is what they canceled from the sounds of it. Single player story focused game. Looks like more lootbox crap incomming though.

I reckon they should use the assets to make a new wocked game.

Maybe get someone like Amy Hennig, a good team like the one that made Dead Space, and make a solid single player story.

Here's what Visceral should do, set up their own independent studios, rework what they had into their own brand new unique title, find a publisher who wont screw them in the a$$ and release it as a fcuk you to EA.

I dont agree with disbanded this studio Visceral studio bought us some of the best gaming titles ea had to offer and yea they have had a rough patch with their sequels not living up to hype but now we are without those titles which is a sad loss to gamers
