DOOM VFR, Skyrim VR, and More Playable at Armageddon Expo This Weekend

If you're going to (or currently at) the Auckland Armageddon Expo this Labour weekend (20-23 Oct), then you could be one of the first in New Zealand to get your hands on a number of games that are releasing later this year, including DOOM VFR, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, both of which are playable at the PlayStation booth.

DOOM VFR sees players take on the roll of a cybernetic survivor, activated by the UAC, and tasked with fighting the demon invasion, maintaining order, and preventing catastrophic failure at the Mars facility by putting your skills to use in first person combat, and puzzle-solving. DOOM VR releases on the 1st of December, 2017 to PC via Steam, and PlayStation 4 (PSVR required). It will retail at $49.95.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR will allow players to play the entire open-world role-playing game in VR. The VR version of Skyrim will also include the DLC add-ons Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. In-game purchases will also be optionally available. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR releases on the 17th of November, 2017 to PlayStation 4 (PSVR required), with no PC release date at this time. It will retail at $109.95.

Man, I wish Doom VFR wasn't separate from the main game, would have been keen to try that in VR, but don't want to buy it again.

I tried the demo at Armageddon, it was pretty much Skyrim but in VR. I had fun, but resolution and graphically it was pretty poor.
