Cuphead Sells Over 1M Copies in Two Weeks

Punishing platformer Cuphead has sold over 1 million copies since its launch, developer Studio MDHR announced. The game hit Xbox One and PC just two weeks ago.

"Cuphead has only been out for two weeks and we never could have dreamed of the reception we've received from our amazing fans", the developer shared. "We wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support and we're excited to share that Cuphead has gone platinum with over 1 million units sold!”

“We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead – it truly makes it all worth it.”

Cuphead is now available on Xbox One and PC. Reviewer Reagan Morris called it “a game like no other,” where “every frame looks gorgeously unique.”

So 30-35mill NZ.

I wonder how much expenses they have, and how much funnels to MS etc.

Wish them the best for bucking the status quo.

It's on and off, but basically the games that aren't on Steam sell less. everyone seems to hate the Windows Store,
what with it's hundreds of garbage Mobile looking games.

I call bullsh*t.

A game that has a smaller potential market has to sell more.

Those are my alternative facts and I'm standing by them.

Maybe, but games on the biggest market out of them all makes it sell better.

Im glad its been so successful. I watched an interview where they said about the hardships they've endured to get the game complete. Anyone who puts that much into something deserves the rewards afterwards

I dunno dude, I think it would be a bit tricky to adapt Cuphead to mobile. But it could happen!
