Every Xbox One X Has Engraving of Master Chief Riding a Scorpion

Inside each Xbox One X is Halo’s iconic hero riding a scorpion. Enthusiasts discovered the engraving on the system’s motherboard.

YouTube channel Unocero made the find, after opening up the console to take a closer look at its components. Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra confirmed the validity of the engraving to IGN.

This wouldn’t be the first easter egg we’ve seen embedded in a Microsoft system. When the Xbox One S launched last year, industrious fans found a cutesy engraving of Master Chief on the optical disc drive bracket.

You’ll be able to look at the etching yourself when the Xbox One X launches on November 7 – although doing so will probably void your warranty.

We recently travelled to a preview event for the system, and got some hands-on time with its games. You can read our thoughts here.

Well he has to be put somewhere because he certainly isn't showing up in the Top 10 most played games on Xbox live anymore.

Pretty awesome, I wish they'd stuck with the Scorpio name though, Xbox One X sounds naff.

Shame really, I don't much care for the new loot drop thing they are going for in Halo multiplayer now but the campaign is top notch. I'm worried we'll be in for a long wait for Halo 6, there is a lot of emphasis on multiplayer now.

We played the same Halo 5 right? You didn't get some different version with a good storyline? Halo 5's campaign was fun to play. Story wise it was awful.
