Overwatch’s Halloween Event Is on The Way

Blizzard has announced the next seasonal event for Overwatch. Halloween Terror returns to the colourful shooter on October 10 in the US (so expect to see it October 11 in New Zealand).

Not much is known about the event, apart from this brief Twitter trailer.

Much like previous holiday events in Overwatch, this one will run for approximately a month. It’ will also let users unlock new cosmetic items. Two new McCree and Reaper skins are shown in the above video.

We’ll keep you updated as more news becomes available.

Stopped playing when Destiny 2 came out. May pick it back up for the event. Wonder if it is just a rehash of Junkensteins Revenge.

Chances are, yes and no. Like summer games, they'll probably have all of last year's loot box stuff, plus new stuff, and possibly a modified version of junkenstein? Maybe an infinite horde mode? And the team that survives longest get crates?!?!

I put way too much thought into this.

I'm looking forward to this, if nothing else I haven't played Overwatch in six weeks or so so it'll give me a reason to grab some friends and get back into some fun nights of gaming.

I hope it's a new event and not just a rehash of Junkenstein's Revenge, but I think you're right toner in that it will be a modified version in some way like the summer games lucio ball.
