When I saw the teaser for the trailer yesterday I thought it was terrible, looked so low budget and B grade. But the full trailer today isnt bad, not sure what I think though, it looks like an 80's Rambo movie.

I wonder if they are going to "reboot" the trailer later on youtube too? Because that instagram one was a bit lack-luster, didn't get me hyped at all like I hoped.

Is it telling a new origin story? I can't quite tell from the trailer, I hope not.

I suppose you could call it a movie based on the first game in the current gen reboot trilogy of Tomb Raider... Rather than a movie adaption connected to the original game series and character, like the Angelina movies..

How will you know unless you watch it ... seems like a paradox, but I hear what your saying - game based movies are usually pretty bad ... trying to think of an exception... there has to be at least one surely ???

Disturbingly, wouldn't the Tomb Raider movies rank up in the "better" category? lol...

Yeah I suppose they were OK come to think of it, but then I wonder if that's only because I played the game? I think a movie should be able to stand on its own without needing to be propped up by the game... I'm not convinced that the Tomb Raider movies did, but I'm happy to be wrong.

For me in the category of not being that good, but entertaining in a Michael Bay way, I've always enjoyed Mortal Kombat. The sequel was terrible though. Suffered the same problem as Street Fighter. Throw as many of the roster in to the 90 minute movie
