L.A. Noire Coming to Switch, PS4, Xbox One, VR

Rockstar’s 2011 detective thriller L.A. Noire is being remastered for modern devices, and is set to release this November. The game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch. The developer confirmed that it will also hit HTC Vive.

As Kotaku reports, the HTC Vive version of the game will be smaller in scope, featuring only seven of the game’s case files. Here’s the full rundown, via Rockstar:

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive delivers seven of the original engrossing, self-contained cases from LA Noire rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.

L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch features the complete original game and all additional downloadable content, with specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.

L.A. Noire for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One delivers the complete original game and all additional downloadable content with a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity, including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and more. L.A. Noire plays natively in 1080p for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and stunning 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, capturing the grit and grime of the City of Angels like never before.

The newer version of the game will release on November 14. We’ll keep you updated if New Zealand dates or availability change.

Zero surprises there. I have not played this game but have it for my 360. I have heard it is great and was expecting a remaster but was hoping for backwards compatibility instead.

I started this game but life got in the way and I never got around to finishing it. The bits of it I played were enjoyable.

Awesome. I hope this gets enough attention and support to justify a sequel (or at least more games in the same vein)

Fun game, if a little sparse.

Would love a sequel. If this is a bit cheaper, I'll be sure to run through it again.

I loved this game. Was so gutted when I lost my save when our ps3 capped out, I was so close to platinum! Good excuse to play it again :)

I loved this back on PS3, ground out the story but burned out chasing the plat and gave up in the end. It's a great game with graphics way ahead of it's time. I probably wouldn't play it again on PS4 to be honest. Interrogations were lol, some serious overreactions from time-to time!

Pretty happy about this, I loved this game when I first played it! It gave me a Mafia kinda feel except you're on the law's side. Will definitely pick it up for the PS4!
