Dishonored, Silent Hill Composer Passes Away

Composer Daniel Licht has passed away. The 60-year-old father of one wrote tracks for games like Dishonored, and Silent Hill: Downpour.

According to representatives for the artist, Licht passed away due to a rare form of cancer that had only recently been diagnosed.

Licht’s gaming soundtracks include Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Silent Hill: Downpour, and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. As Polygon notes, he frequently provided the scores for horror films, including Hellraiser: Bloodline and Thinner. His TV credits include Dexter, and The Blacklist.

Arkane Studios co-director Harvey Smith shared his condolences on Twitter:

Licht is survived by his wife Hilary, and son Kian.
