Final Fantasy 15’s Closed Multiplayer Beta Available to Download Now

The closed beta for Final Fantasy XV’s multiplayer mode Comrades is available to download now, provided you’ve bought the Season Pass. The test will be on both PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Those with access will be able to play the co-op multiplayer mode when the beta goes live, slated to run from August 3 - 8. Note that these are American dates, so expect the content to be playable either later this evening, or tomorrow.

In Comrades, players will be able to create their own custom avatar, and join with three other players in “exciting multiplayer quests to bring the Light back to Lucis.” The press release goes on to add that content will differ from release, and progress won’t carry over to the final version.

I was disappointed to realize the multiplayer is standalone and not within the single player game (coop partner controls one of your comrades)... Dont know how I feels about all this standalone DLC , I was hoping for DLC for the main game....

But then this expands a bit of the lore in the game so it still has its merits. Think of it as something similar to Kingsglaive, not required but still nice to flesh out the world a bit further
