If you’re embedded in the local game making community, or are looking to network and grow your skill set, the New Zealand Game Developers Conference 2017 is right around the corner. Tickets are now available for the multi-day event, which features workshops and special guest speakers.
“The NZGDA is dedicated to working with Kiwi studios to grow New Zealand's game industry to a $1 billion dollar sector within 10 years, and NZGDC is key to stimulating that growth. NZGDC is an opportunity for developers to come together to share their knowledge and experiences, and help each other in the pursuit of making great, globally recognised games,” says NZGDA Chairperson James Everett in a press release.
“The theme this year, Luck by Design, is about dispelling the myth of the ‘overnight success’. The NZ game industry has seen more than 350% growth since 2012, and we can accelerate it further by equipping developers with the tools to create sustainable momentum.”
Last year’s conference drew more than 500 developers. This year’s event will take place over three days, and features workshops, talks, and panels across multiple disciplines.
NZGDC17 will take place from September 6 - 8 at Auckland’s AUT University. You can explore the different ticket options here.
