New Games Releasing This Week: July 3 - 9

Don’t know what games are coming out this week? Don’t worry! We here at NZGamer.com have you covered, organising some of the biggest releases into one handy article. Remember, you'll also get VIP points for following games – so make sure to add these ones too!

Things are a little slim this week, with only one major release hitting PS4 and Vita systems. If you're a fan of the anime Accel World or Sword Art Online, then this game from publisher Bandai Namco is sure to interest you. It mixes both worlds with action RPG gameplay elements.

If party games are more your speed, then That's You is coming too. Players connect to the same match via their phone or smart device, and attempt to answer questions about their friends.

For a broader look at what's coming out, check the July 2017 Game Release Schedule. For an overview of the year, check out the 2017 Game Release Schedule, which we'll periodically be updating.

Note: While this list is intended to be as comprehensive as possible, it is difficult to cover everything, especially with the growing prominence of downloadable and indie games. The dates of some releases can also shift around. If you notice anything that's missing, please let us know in the comments, or by emailing news@nzgamer.com.

PS4, Vita

The worlds of Sword Art Online and Accel World have begun to merge! In the midst of the chaos, Yui has gone missing. Kirito must challenge the Seven Kings of pure color from the Accelerated World to gain access to her location. Players from both groups come together in a war of the worlds where the strongest Burst Linkers and ALO Players are on a mission to save Yui from the hands of Personna Babel. This all-new original story comes from Reki Kawahara, the creator of both SWORD ART ONLINE and ACCEL WORLD, for an interdimensional adventure between two popular anime franchises.

Honestly, Accel World Vs. Sword Art Online's genre was 100% not what you'd usually expect with that name.
Was actually intrigued for 0.5 seconds.
