PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold over 4 million copies – just three months after its release on Steam Early Access. Creative director Brian Greene announced the milestone over Twitter.
3 months... 4 million copies of @PUBATTLEGROUNDS sold... Thank you all again for your continuing support <3— PLAYERUNKNOWN (@BattleRoyaleMod) June 22, 2017
The game features 100 players parachuting on to an island. From there they must scavenge for weapons and vehicles, and fight other opponents, while also escaping a rapidly contracting zone; if caught outside it, they'll die.
Developer Bluehole announced that they would be bringing the game to Xbox One later this year.
