‘Exciting’ Pokemon News Scheduled for Tomorrow

If you’ve been holding out for more Pokemon information, you’ll be excited to hear that some “exciting news” will be announced during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct. You’ll have to be up bright and early though.

You’ll have to tune in at 2AM NZST on June 7 to catch the news live.

According to Nintendo, the briefing is only eight minutes long.

It’s unclear what the announcement could be. A report from last year hinted that a console-developed game codenamed Pokemon Stars was in development. A translated job listing from earlier this year also revealed that the Pokemon developer was hiring for a console version of a “globally popular RPG.”

We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.

If this is a Pokemon RPG on a grand scale for the switch with a playable booth at E3 then Nintendo will grab themselves a big slice of the mindshare of the gaming press going into the event next week

No mention of Switch from that screenshot so setting my expectations to a 3DS title, possibly Stars. Which I'm cool with - I still love using my 3DS.

I mean its nice that Nintendo still supports its older consoles, which obviously other companies haven't been doing so well off, but I'm sick and tired of seeing 3DS title releases and nothing for switch, being a new owner of a Nintendo product, (being a switch) I still see all these cool games being released for the older consoles and switch still trying to push new devs and IP's but the launch games for the title so far is still lacking behind, to me worse than XB1s launch titles which consisted of DR3,Ryse and Fifa, and was also a bit sad when I saw the release trailer of Fifa 18 and no mention of switch in the trailer, so hopes it not forgotten.
