Alan Wake to Be Delisted Soon, Gets Massive Sale

Alan Wake to Be Delisted Soon, Gets Massive Sale

If you’ve yet to grab 2010’s psychological thriller Alan Wake, you’ll want to be quick; the game is being delisted from digital storefronts due to an expiring music license. Developer Remedy has jumped on the chance to discount the franchise by 90-percent on Steam, but you’ll only have until May 16 at 5AM NZT before it’s gone.

Here are the Alan Wake bundles available on Steam

  • Alan Wake (base game) - $3.59
  • Alan Wake Collector’s Edition - $4.19
  • Alan Wake Franchise (same as above, but also includes DLC pack American Nightmare) - $4.79

If you grab the game before it's delisted, it will remain in your Steam library.

The discount will not be available on Microsoft’s stores, as according to Remedy’s official forum post, “[they] can only control pricing on Steam.”

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare – the standalone DLC pack – will remain on digital storefronts. Remedy is looking into relicensing the music for Alan Wake, but they have no timeframe for it.

Have you played Alan Wake? Or are you going to use this sale as a jumping in point? Let us know in the comments below!

I mean, with a used copy you'd have to be pretty lucky anyway, right?

Hopefully Alan Wake is on special with the Xbox One backwards compatibility sale that is meant to happening this week. I would recommend that game to anyone. It is superb. A sequel would be great.
