Pokemon developer Game Freak has posted a job listing, looking to staff up for a console version of a globally popular RPG.
In translations from both Siliconera and IGN, the Japanese studio is looking for 3D CG designers that would make “characters, monsters, and items” for “a title that everyone knows.” Another listing says that experience creating models up to “Wii U / PS Vita-level[s]” is preferred.
Many are speculating that the new Pokemon Sun and Moon titles could be making their way to Nintendo’s home/handheld hybrid, the Switch. While Game Freak haven’t announced anything, the Pokemon Company’s executive Tsunekazu Ishihara has said in the past that they will make games for the platform. A report from late last year said that a project called Pokemon Stars will launch for the Switch in 2017.
