Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Hides a Secret Message

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Hides a Secret Message

If you picked up a Switch last week, then you’ve probably been too preoccupied with Zelda: Breath of the Wild to notice the secret message Nintendo hid in their supplemental $120 Pro controller.

Eagle-eyed fans on social media found the hard-to-see message, just above the right thumb stick. If you orient the controller towards the light and look down the translucent ring, you’ll see a message which reads “thnx2 allgamefans!”

If you want to see the message for yourself, I recommend using your phone’s flashlight feature.

We reviewed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, scoring it a 9.5. We praised its ability to emulate the sense of wonder and awe that the originals possessed.

Interesting, still way expensive for that type of controller. Also was wondering if this is the end of the 3DS? I still love Zelda so it will still be on my radar to pick up sometime.

I mean, it's sort of the standard price. A limited edition colour ps4 controller costs that much and a standard is only $10 less. Xbox isn't much better.

You can get a standard Xbox one controller for $90 from the Microsoft store, that's around 3/4 of the price

120 seems ridiculously high but yeah, controllers are ridiculously expensive as standard anyway so it's not really too far out there.

The controller is a good solid controller plus it has HD rumble too.

Not defending the price, but it is a nice controller with better tech in it than the PS4 and Xbox One controller, plus it just launched and launch prices are always a little steep. PS4 and Xbox One accessories were no different at launch.

awesome easter egg.

I haven't decided whether I really need one of these yet, switch is in the cupboard waiting as a b'day treat - will give the joy con's their day in the sun before upgrading. Price is whatever nintendo makes it - even with an import it works out as the same.

That's expeeeeensive man, no thank you. Gonna put mad work into the joycons.
The the final time I've splurged was the 20th Anni PS4 controller. Everything else has been hunted for $80 MAX.

Wait,,, I thought the switch was a controller?? why do you have to spend an extra $120 for a "pro" controller which looks much the same as a standard XB1 or PS4 controller?? even when compared to the $200 XB1 elite controller, this looks like a ripoff...
