Mass Effect: Andromeda Won’t Feature a Season Pass

Mass Effect: Andromeda Won’t Feature a Season Pass

Mass Effect: Andromeda – the upcoming RPG from BioWare – won’t feature a season pass. Downloadable content will is still likely to feature, but there won’t be one purchase giving access to all pieces as they release.

BioWare’s general manager Aaryn Flynn made the announcement on Twitter, when a fan asked him about the topic.

When asked further about the nature of DLC – whether it would be single-player focused, or multiplayer – Flynn simply added “We’ll talk more about that later.”

As Polygon notes, no prior Mass Effect games have featured season passes. Previous titles delivered extra story content and missions, but they could all be purchased piece-meal. An Online Pass came with Mass Effect 3, but that only delivered content to the co-op multiplayer mode.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release on March 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

I imagine they will do it similar to dragon age Inquisition where there week be both single player and multiplayer player dlc, but multiplayer takes a back seat. Bioware like there big story heavy dlc with cool names too much to not do it piece meal.

EA love their season passes so sort of surprising, but glad they arent lumping it into everything especially Bioware games.
Likely there will be an Expansion type DLC like Dragon Age id imagine.. will likely be priced like a season pass anyway lol
