Nintendo Confirms Dragon Quest XI Switch Version

Nintendo Confirms Dragon Quest XI Switch Version

Nintendo announced that Dragon Quest XI – the upcoming RPG slated for PlayStation 4 and 3DS – will also make an appearance on the Switch.

A blog post on Nintendo’s official Japanese website talks about the game’s details, which were touched on over the weekend at Jump Festa 2017. The post ends with the following statement: “It should be noted that this title is also planned for release on Nintendo Switch.”

No information about the Switch version currently exists. It’s unclear if it will be the Unreal Engine 4 version of the game (which is seen on the PS4), or if it will be a sharper rendition of the 3DS one.

Dragon Quest XI received a Japanese release window of 2017. The Nintendo Switch – a console which will marry the home and portable markets – is set to release in March, 2017. We’ll keep you updated as more news becomes available.

This had better get a Western release, would hold off on the PS4 version in favor of the Switch version if it does.
