Hideo Kojima – the highly lauded game director and designer, responsible for the Metal Gear Solid franchise – spoke about his partnership with Guerrilla Games, and using their Decima engine to run upcoming title Death Stranding.
In a series of Tweets, Kojima compared the relationship to the Cold War era space race.

Guerrilla Games is better known for the Killzone franchise. They’re currently developing open-world action game Horizon Zero Dawn.
During The Game Awards, Kojima showcased the latest trailer for Death Stranding. While it was light on details, it showed new characters – including one portrayed by Hollywood actor Mads Mikkelsen. During a panel at the PlayStation Experience, it was revealed that the trailer was running in real-time on a PS4 Pro.
