Overwatch Gets Free Weekend

Overwatch Gets Free Weekend

Developer Blizzard announced today that Overwatch – their competitive and colourful team-based shooter – will be getting a free weekend. The offer begins tomorrow, Saturday 19 November at 8AM NZT for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

From the press release:

Every hero from the Overwatch roster will be available during the Free Weekend, including brand-new hero, Sombra; and all 14 maps playable across different modes: Quick Play, The Arcade, Play AI, and more. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and collect a variety of cosmetic items. Plus, if players decide to purchase a copy of Overwatch after test driving the game, they’ll be able to keep any progress that was made during the Overwatch Free Weekend — provided they use the same Battle.net, Xbox Live, or Sony Entertainment account that they played on.

The free trial period will end on Tuesday, 22 November. You can find installation instructions for your platform of choice here.

Sold my PS4 copy at a $10 loss because I didn't have time to play back then so will be making use of this.
Got invited to play with my already-purchased-the-game school homies! I'll be steaming it with 0-frame drops on VDSL (zero)!

Come around to twitch.tv/bankea if you wanna tune in.
